"Top Class Service from The Royal Hallamshire"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward H1 Urology at Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital on Sunday the 7th of September, had my operation Monday PM and was allowed to leave today Friday the 12th.

My operation was to remove a very large kidney stone, and a pyeloplasty, which is basically fitting a stent in the ureter to enable it to drain more efficiently. The surgical team who carried out my procedure lead by Mr Oakley were highly skilled and professional keeping me informed of any possible complications and exactly what was going to be done. Thanks to their skills the operation went very well and the outcome for me is excellent.

I would also like to pay thanks to the ward staff on H1 who were friendly, caring and totally professional . The standard of cleaning is also high and I had no complaints about dirt under beds or unclean floors, they were all cleaned daily. This must be in a major way down to the responsibility of the Ward Sister/Manager so well done to them, and thank you all.
