"Care of my mother on Aspen ward"

About: Callington Road Hospital

I am impressed at the tactful, caring way in which my mother's dignity during a long illness has been preserved by all members of the team. The medical care has been outstanding. The staff have done everything they can to assist and to respond to family concerns, and have looked after my father too - way beyond the call of duty. We are very grateful, especially when you are so busy. I want to register my thanks in the week of her discharge (fingers crossed), four months after her admission.

It is lovely to read such positive comments about the care your mother has received. I am also very pleased to read of the support provided to your father and you as a family too. Ensuring that we work with carers and families is a priority for staff so it is great to know that this is happening and effective in providing reassurance and information to people at difficult times in their lives.
