"Weekend access to Doctor"

Only went to the emergency clinic at the weekend but was surprised and delighted at how efficiently the whole process went from dialling 111 to being seen and diagnosed. My questions were answered, there was a calm atmosphere and was made to feel I mattered.

Hello I am sorry that it has taken so long to get a response to you. It is really good to hear that from the moment you needed help and rang 111 that the whole journey went smoothly. It is so often that people are a bit lost as to who to contact and when so your comment gives me the opportunity to highlight that the 111 phone number should be used if you are unsure of what you need or where you should go at any time of the day or night, every day of the year. Of course if you are suffering Chest Pain, breathing difficulties, are bleeding significantly or are showing sigs of a stroke or any other significant emergency then you should dial 999 for an emergency response. However for anything else 111 is the number and you may well be surprised that you can be seen and treated at any number of places rather than A&E. Thank you for allowing me to hijack your comment to pass on a message! kind regards Matt Croughan Lead for Minor Injury Unit and Outpatients Clevedon Community Hospital
