I spent yesterday (19 Nov 2013) in the Endoscopy department at the Cumberland Infirmary and was impressed yet again with the professionalism and friendliness if the staff. I was given time to consider my options regarding pain control during the procedure and was treated with respect and kept informed throughout. This made what can never be the most comfortable or dignified investigation into an almost pleasurable experience! Thanks so much to all the team from the noisy blonde female. I have been to this hospital on various occasions as a patient, a relative and supporting clients in my work life and this experience is typical of the care provided at Cumberland Infirmary

Thank you for providing us with your thoughts following your recent visit to the Endoscopy Department at the Cumberland Infirmary. Our staff always endeavour to provide high standards of care and we are pleased that you felt that they were professional, communicated well and were friendly. Our Endoscopy Unit carries out a patient survey each year so that they can put any further improvements into place and it continue to receive some excellent comments from patients about the care they receive.
