Having endured exceptionally long waits during a recent visit to the Eye clinic I asked how I could make a formal complaint. A very helpful member of staff tried to find a senior colleague to whom I might speak but to no avail. She then tried to find a complaints form but was similarly unsuccessful. I eventually tracked down a contact system which worked and received a reply from the Patient Relations Investigations Officer giving a phone number for me to contact or alternatively asking for my number. Subsequently I received an email advising me that the problems I had experienced would be reviewed. Hopefully positive action will be taken to improve matters but it is a very long winded procedure and not easy to find a way in.
