"Chemotherapy @ City Hospital Nottingham Fraser Ward"

I have been having a course of chemotherapy at City Hopsital on Fraser Ward.

I cannot talk highly enough of the professinalism and compassion of the teams working on this ward.

They are led by a great sister in Nicky who is prepared to muck in with the team as well as perform her supervisoory role.

My personal care was excellent. Chemo is not a pleasant process and the staff are are all well versed in the ins and outs of side effects etc and are very proactive in the treatment process (especially around anti sickness).

The timing of the ward day allows patients to get as much rest as they require and the volunteer team are always happy and chirpy on a ward which has it's fair share of heartache.

The staff operate with a great deal of autonomy which provides the patients with confidence and reassurance.

Given other stays I have had in the same hopsital this ward has been (on 3 occassions) an excellent place to be (if there is such a thing) to have my treatment.
