"Too long to wait!"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I called 999 as my baby had a fit, I had to wait 32 minutes for an ambulance. Had I of felt safe to drive I would have got to the hospital within 15 minutes. The controller who stayed I the line was great and so were the crew when they got to me. I'm glad it was nothing more serious or things may not have turned out so well!!! Much to the pleasure of the nhs I will think twice before calling an ambulance as will get there faster myself!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We are sorry to hear of your experience. Dispatching ambulances for 999 calls is not something which is managed by our hospitals. It is the responsibility of East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS). We will pass your concerns to our partners at EMAS, however if you wished to contact them yourself to discuss your experience further, you can do so by visiting the Contact Us section of their website: http://www.emas.nhs.uk/contact/.
