I had to have an operation on my ankle due to a fall and spent 5 days in Fordham ward. I can honestly say that the staff were friendly and helpful. I had never had to stay in hospital before and was apprehensive. They work so hard yet were willing to do what they could for you. I was lucky to be in the part where there were 5 beds and all ladies. We laughed and chatted and even though I had only been in there for a short time I felt part of a family. I want to thank all the staff, including the cleaner who gave us snippets of advice on how to use the phone, the porters that have to go from one side of the hospital to the other and still can chat and keep your spirits up .All the young nurses, well done for taking up this profession, its not easy and we need you. To all the nursing staff that help with all the tasks that you then find impossible. Thank you is not really enough. Also the doctors, many thanks for what you did to put it right,,I cant forget the ladies that organised everything to get me home and get me back on my feet ( well foot at the moment). You all do a brilliant job, many many thanks again.
