"Ward 11"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

My father was admitted to Ward 11 on 25th August of this year and died later that day. I just wanted to say how tactful and caring the staff were with him and us during this very hard time. He was given a separate room and the blinds were drawn to give us privacy during his last hours. The doctors were both female and very kind and not at all haughty as some doctors are. The nurses were gentle with dad and respectful even after he had passed away. This made his death much easier for us and I would like to officially say a big Thank you!

Thank you for taking the trouble to post a comment on the NHS Choices website. I was sorry to read of the death of your father and appreciate even more the time and trouble you have taken to write such lovely comments regarding your father’s care during his time on Ward 11. I have forwarded this to the staff on the Ward who will also appreciate receiving such comments. Thank you
