"Very good care on H2 at Royal Hallamshire"

I was a patient on ward H2 at the Royal Hallamshire hospital for treatment of my prostate. I was most pleased by the patience and care taken by the staff in explaining to me every aspect of the operation. As a result of this, I felt that the information and decision making was shared appropriately.

The medical team was supportive to my wife and myself and patiently helped us to relax and to accept the condition for what it was.

The nursing team on the ward was caring and encouraged me through my difficult times. Nurses are angels.

I was particularly impressed that members of the Oncology Support Team visited me on the ward and cheered me up. They are all under pressure most of the time, but they still find time to answer our calls.
