"Diabetic Treatment & Control"

About: Central and Eastern Cheshire PCT Congleton War Memorial Hospital / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

My GP practice is Readesmoor Group Practice. Congleton. I also have blood tests at War Memorial hospital.

Since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 6-7 years ago I have had nothing but support, guidance and advise from, in particular the diabetic Sister, Sister Sharon Miles as well as from Dr.Carter.

Sister Sharon nearly always encourages and only scolds in the gentlest of ways. Her advise is always balanced not only with good medical information but common sense.

Overall, I am well pleased with the service and attention that I receive from Readesmoor, in particular the new extended appointment times. The only frustration is the rule that doesn't allow me to book an appointment with a GP more than 48 hours in advance. An example; I tried to book an appointment one afternoon to see a doctor only to be told that I had to phone up at 8am the very next morning as the receptionist could not release any appointments that afternoon. MADNESS!
