"Cataract operation"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

I had a cataract operation on 11th October 2013. Prior to that I had attended two clinics. The waiting time for the first clinic was quite lengthy, but I had been prior warned in the paperwork that came with the appointment notification. The second clinic appointment was a swift experience. On operation day, again the possibility of delays had been flagged in advance, however I had not expected the welcome sandwiches, yogurt and hot beverages that were provided . The waiting and ancillary areas are a bit tired, but without exception this is more than made up for by the Moorfield staff who I found to be kind, concerned, and extremely professional. The operation itself was easier than I had feared with the surgeon and theatre staff making everything very clear to me, constantly checking if I was ok. They were backed up by the whole team from reception onwards. I have no fear returning in due course for my second eye operation. Thank you.
