"microdisectomy and decompression"

The doctor operated on my spine in February 2013. It is now September 2013 and I more than pleased with the results. I have played badminton today for the first time since the operation. I followed the Consultants advice and did all the exercises recommended since the operation. Many thanks to the doctor.

One Health and all its surgeons always welcome patient feedback, whether via NHS Choices or our own post operative questionnaire. We are particularly pleased to hear that this patient has made a good recovery and we hope this continues. In providing the feedback they raise the matter of the importance of following the surgeons recommendations on exercise regimes as a part of the post operative recovery. Whilst there are no cast iron guarantees that following post operative advice and guidance will ensure a full recovery, experience shows that a return to fitness is far more likely in those patients who do. Please note that we do not normally see spinal patients at Chesterfield so we would like to make it clear that this particular patient may not have been treated by One Health through the NHS. Our reply though remains genuine and sincere.
