"Referral from NHS Direct to Northampton General"

I contacted NHS Direct at midnight Friday 30th August in regards to my 10 year old daughter. The service from NHS Direct was excellent and seamless and I was offered an appointment at Northampton General within 30 minutes (I was actually seen more quickly than this). Receptionist and doctor friendly and efficient (even at this time of night). Seamless transfer of information from NHS Direct to hospital with no repetition of information. Diagnosed and antibiotics prescribed and all home and daughter back in bed for 1am. I cannot praise highly enough and when you have a sick child it is so wonderful to receive care to this standard. Thank you so much and well done.
