Having never been to Wansbeck before I was a bit nervous today attending for a review at the pregnancy assessment unit, I hadn't been well for a few days and had spoken with the team at Wansbeck during the weekend. They gave me excellent advice and I felt I could get back in touch at any point, during my pregnancy I've felt as though i haven't really been listened to regarding my concerns, so this was comforting. The care at the assessment unit was very efficient and friendly. The unit was busy but the team working were fabulous, working well with the doctors too. They apologised for waiting times but they were very speedy. I work as a nurse and understand how hectic it can be but they did a great job. The follow up care was also arranged very quickly and I was kept up to date with plan of care throughout the day. One of the midwives on the team was particularly helpful and very knowledgable. She calmed my nerves and I would be thrilled if she was the midwife present during labour. Thank you for all your help!

At the times when we feel at our most vulnerable, it is extremely important that we feel listened to and reassured by the advice and information we are given. Your description of an efficient and friendly team, who worked well together will mean a great deal to the whole team.
