"Medical staff could not be faulted"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Visit to the hospital as an outpatient was a relatively good experience overall.

Entrance to hospital clean and (almost) inviting. School choir singing in the entrance/exit foyer was really good to hear on exit.

It could have been made clearer that car parking ticket had to be put in the machine and paid for before returning to the car.

Car park charge was relatively expensive but we have to remember the consultation was free of charge!

Medical staff could not be faulted!

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your experience of visiting Russells Hall Hospital. We are pleased your experience was a largely positive one.

Like most other hospitals in the region, we do charge patients and visitors for parking to help pay for maintaining the car parks and providing security. We don’t operate a pay and display system at the hospital: parking charges are paid on exit at any of the pay machines located in main reception, maternity entrance and A&E. This information is displayed on signage around the hospital grounds.

It is good to know despite the parking issues, you were happy with the staff in Ophthalmology.
