"Dreadful!"

About: Mill View Hospital

I was admitted to Millview in July and it was my second visit. I found that, I can only assume due to budget cuts, that the hospital has deteriorated since last year. There are much fewer staff and no support workers to sit with you at mealtimes. Also very few activities on the ward. The food is also inedible and often is not what you ordered earlier in the day. The level of smoking is intolerable and I have seen staff use their own lighters to light cigarettes for the patients. Even if you have escorted leave there is usually not enough staff to escort you to the canteen for example. The garden is also a dreadful mess full of cigarette ends and also it appears that the grass has not been cut for a long time. Hardly a relaxing space.
