"Linfoot Ward and A+E, Out of hours"

After suffering a stroke my wife spent some time on Linfoot Ward as part of her coming home package. The staff were nothing short of brilliant, and she was made to feel very much at home. Since then unfortunately my wife has suffered many UTI's as further complications have set in. I have often arrived at the A+E dept with a sample for testing or a request for the on call doctor to visit my wife at home. The results have been out standing. Diagnosis of the samples has always been spot on and drugs prescribed or issued straight away. The out of hours doctors have never hesitated in ordering an ambulance for JR admission, if needed, and they have often spoken to the JR Assessment Unit doctors directly and in so doing speeding up procedures at the JR and eliminating long periods of waiting in A+E. This is a great package we have here in Witney and my belief is we should always be prepared to fight to keep it. As this town grows the need for facilities like this increase, and hospitals are something which developers and politicians conveniently over look.
