"We were the only people in A&e for 3 hours. Still..."

About: Southampton General Hospital

I realise that we were not the only people needing help . But when we turned up at 4.45 am we were the only people in A&e . Three hours later three other people came in and were seen almost immediately ! We were seen by the triage nurse quite quickly but even when A&e is quiet the waiting time is unacceptable !

Thank you for posting your comment and we are sorry that you felt the waiting time in the Emergency Department was unacceptable. There is always a lot of activity going on in the different areas of the department and patients are seen in order of their clinical priority. We will share your comment about waiting times with the Emergency Department staff.
