"Childrens A&E"

About: St Helier Hospital

My son was referred to childrens' A&E in early July with acute abdominal pain by our GP. We are very grateful to all the staff who treated him from beginning to end. He was seen and treated appropriately with respect. The hospital was very clean and we had no cause for complaint. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful service and would have no hesitation is recommending or using again. What does trouble us generally (not on this visit) is the obvious cuts the hospital is making in general. Staff seem to overwhelmed with work and highly stressed, It is more difficult to pin point an appropriate person to talk to now than in recent years.. Its a shame the NHS can't look after their staff but expect their staff to look after the community .

We are so pleased you were happy with your son's treatment. It's great to know that you rated our service as 'wonderful' and would recommend using us again. Dr James Marsh Joint Medical Director
