"Cataract Operation"

About: Hinckley and District Hospital

I came to Hinckley & District Hospital for a Cataract operation on the 25th June 2013 and I found the thought a bit daunting but the excellence of all the staff of the John Atkins Day Unit was superb. The nursing staff were cheerful, friendly and knew their job inside out, the ward itself was open and airy and was Spotless. The instructions for the aftercare can't be faulted and any questions were answered honestly. I was made to feel a person and not just a number. My grateful thanks go to the Surgeon and Anaesthetist who made the operation painless, and if I have to have the other eye done I hope it will be the same Hospital as I consider the small units to be essential and are run far better than a large miss-managed hospital.
