I injured my knee in the late evening of the Saturday before the Bank Holiday when I fell and also my face and hand and so I had to go to A & E in Barnsley. I had heard scare stories about how long I would wait and how bad treatment was.
I arrived about 9.30 pm. The care I received from the Receptionist, Nurse, Doctor, X-ray staff and the man who applied my splint was second to none. They were kind and caring. They were gentle with my face and leg and kept waiting to the absolute minimum although I was there about two hours in the end but that did not seem bad considering just how busy they were.
I had to return to the fracture clinic yesterday and I received the same amount of care there as well.
I would recommend Barnsley A&E and fracture clinic to anyone.
