My mother was tranferred , on xmas eve , after a spell in Hartlepool general hospital and we lost her in the end but i wanted to give this review as the unit helped make her last few days as pleasant as possible , in complete contrast with how she had been treatd in the general and deserve praise for this and our thanks. The care she has received in the general hospital was terrible (i have written a rview on this as well) but on transfer to sandwell we saw her being treated as person again , , even smiling again, as well as support for ourselve,s in what was a difficult time for us all. If we had to lose her I am just so glad it was here and not in the general Thankyou to all involved for being true carers.
