"Hospital Feedback."

My husband had several stays in hospital due to Neuroendocrine cancer and associated problems. Originally he was treated at Essex County under the expert care of the Consultant and his team.Then when he left, my husband`s care was transferred to the General's team. The lack of space and beds in the A and E is a concern but not the care as they are all very committed. He developed dementia as a result of the liver breaking down and eventually died in the hospital in a side room on the EAU last Friday 7th June. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care they showed him and me during this distressing time. The hospital has received very unwarranted bad press in my opinion of late, so I just wanted to voice my opinion that seeing things first hand I have no complaints about his care on the various wards where he was placed, apart from there not being enough nurses After he died, we were allowed to stay in the room as long as we needed to, and were brought tea and treated with dignity. I have sent thank you cards to the EAU and Langham ward as they were magnificent.
