The nursing staff prior to my procedure were very pleasant and competent. However, on the day of the procedure was another story. I had a male health care worker (i am a female) insist on opening my gown, which exposed my bottom. The reason given and i quote "the doctor likes his patients ready" how bizarre given that the doctor was not even present. When i tried to cover myself, i was belittled. The doctor arrived about ten minutes later and yet i was expected to lie with my bottom exposed. There was no dignity what so ever and the male health worker was a disgrace. I felt as though i had been violated. The whole procedure was a disgrace and i did make my feelings very clear to the nurse who was present before i left. However she reiterated, "the doctor likes his patients to be ready" What was the point of making the complaint official? No sir in BRI a patient must lie with one's naked bum in the air cause God forbid the doctor should spend a couple of seconds asking you to open your gown. Absolute disgrace. Total violation of basic dignity.
