"Maternity care"

My daughter recently came here for her maternity care. Staf have always been pleasant and appointments have run reasonably to time. Last week she came in in labour and I joined her at her request. The midwife showed me to the room where she was reclined comfortably against bean bags and appeared to be coping very well. The midwife was friendly, calm, reassuring and very supportive giving clear information as labour progressed, and as far as it could be it was an enjoyable relaxed experience. However when her waters broke there was evidence that her baby was distressed and this was when we saw evidence of the excellent care and support this team could offer. They were professional, reassuring and caring they responded quickly and efficiently delivering a safe outcome for mother and baby. I cannot express how grateful I felt as a mother and grandmother for their kindness and support and my daughter and son-in-law feel the same. Thanks to all involved.
