What I liked:

Regular cleaning of the ward was evident.

The nursing staff were attentive, knowledgable and helpful.

The surgical team inspired confidence and made sure I was fully informed on all aspects of the procedure before and after.

What could be improved? There was a great deal of uncertainty about when I was to go down to theatre and I was kept waiting for half a day not knowing until the trolly turned up.

I waited for over half a day for the doctor to come and discharge me again not knowing when.

In both cases the nurses were not kept informed so couldn't tell me. It would be so helpful if some attention were able to be paid to improving communications here.
