"Pre-op visit"

Just wanted to show my appreciation of everyone who looked after me so well on my visit to the Pre-op Clinic on 19 February, especially as I messed things up with an infection I didn’t know I had and so couldn’t have the operation straight away – but actually am looking forward to being at New Hall again next month! The whole staff could not have been kinder or more helpful and I am so grateful to them for all they did for me. The physiotherapist was most helpful in explaining all pertinent aspects of the decompression and spinal fusion operation and the exercises for rehabilitation - also gave me a very useful booklet with all the information I might need. The nurse who took care of me afterwards during the various tests and general briefing was so kind and helpful, leaving me very well informed and at ease. I apppreciate too the helpful literature given to me. All the staff with whom I came in contact made me feel quite at home and feeling I was with friends. This was my second day visit - the first visit when I met the surgeon was equally excellent. I consider we are very fortunate to have New Hall Hospital in our area and would highly recommend it to anyone lucky enough to be accepted there. A last word on the location - such a beautiful house and grounds - the view from the windows has to be a tonic in itself.
