we get left sitting there waiting for hours to be seen with 4 young children. even when we finally get called through to the consultant we have to sit and wait for another at least half an hour.
When the nurses or doctors come out to call your name to be seen they don't shout loud enough for all to hear and if you miss your name you have to wait longer. As I said before we have 4 other children all born in Ipswich hospital and we never had an appointment longer than half an hour. at Norfolk and Norwich we have never experienced one quicker than 2 hours. heavily pregnant women don't want to be left in a stuffy room waiting for hours on end they want to be seen and be on their way to the comfort of their own home.
I really do think they need to re assess their appointment scheme in this department to maybe a screen that shows your name when they are ready for you or a number system where you take a ticket on arrival and do their best to get you seen and on your way within at least an hour.
