"Dealt with quickly and with great kindness"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

In November I cut my hand badly, I first went to Falmouth and was assessed by a nurse but because I had done it on glass it needed to be x-rayed, and as they had no one to do this after 5 I had to go to Treliske. From my arrival I was soon seen and went straight to x-ray to save time, within 10 minutes I was being seen by a male charge nurse, who was very friendly and professional, he decided I needed to see the doctor and she came very quickly and it was decided I needed to have an operation as I had cut my tendon, I was offered the choice of a general the next day or a nerve blocker, because of the risk of a general I opted for a nerve blocker, another doctor came and put my IVI up, the charge nurse attended to my other cut and I was then transferred to the trauma ward, the bed was lovely, everything was spotless, at 2a.m. I went down for my operation and everyone did their best to put me at ease and by 3 I was back in my bed. Breakfast was fine, lunch was great and the care I have received from then to now has been fantastic, I have been going to see the hand physio regularly and he is great, all in all my total experience has been a very positive one. Thank you all
