Initially we were taken through to the children's section at a and e, and pretty quickly a nurse looked Alice over. The waiting room filled up and we were asked to wait in a children's bay. We waited for some time here maybe an hour or more, but eventually a specialist appeared to look at her hand. He said blood tests were needed and it would be easier on the paediatric ward. Long storey short Alice was admitted and spent the next 3 days on ward 21. The staff were all wonderful and I can't praise them enough. Thanks for taking good care of my baby girl. We have a check up appointment later this week to make sure everything is as it should be which is reassuring.
