"Delay between referral and appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I saw my GP in November and I know my referral was sent within 48 hours of seeing him (I work for him) so I was a little surprised not to hear anything until late November. I did ring during this time to find out if my referral had been received. I know only too well how often we have to ring for patients if they have not heard anything.

Is the delay with the letter arriving at the hospital, and then being noted? Please don't think that this is a complaint, but more of an observation. I have to commend the staff at TRAQS. She was most friendly and very helpful.
