"Disgusting care ... what do we pay for?"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Anything else?

My um has just signed herself out of ward 12 acute medical admissions after spending 2 nights there and not receiving any treatment nor any decisions being made of why she is ill?? After being admitted via A&E from an infected cat bite the team where unable to control her temperature or work out if the cause of the infection is from the cat bite or an existing serious problem. The Dr seen it a good idea to visit my mum (65) at 2am whilst she was asleep but was unable to take bloods etc due to her being given sleeping tablets? (surely he should of known this before waking and doing nothing if he had read her notes?) She then spent the whole next day and evening with ear infection which got worse with pain. Although many of us spoke with the nurses we just kept getting palmed off with "the Dr will be coming soon" he never did.. My mum was then given sleeping pills again and was woken at 3am by another patient where she then realised that she had been moved from a private side room with just herself in there to a large bright noisy ward without being woken to be told this was happening? she then waited until the late morning and still had not been seen but being told repeatedly that her condition was serious? This system is disgusting, unfair, a form of abuse and dam right out of order...

We would be pleased to arrange for this matter to be investigated if the patient/family would like to contact us directly.
