About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Anything else?

Main outpatients waiting area is too small to serve so many clinics simultaneously. To visit, one needs to be physically fit and extremely healthy! Senior consultant unable to attend clinic due to other commitments. Asked to see one of the registrars for continuity of treatment; request not adhered to! The doctor seen could not be understood, making the appointment a waste of time. HCA present needed to rest her arm on doctors desk which was sloppy and unacceptable. Once again, no one displayed a name badge, as appears the 'norm' at this hospital, However, the doctor did introduce himself and shook hands; his politeness could not be faulted.
