"Experience at a&E and ACU"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

Anything else?

I went to A&E today and it was decided that I should go to the ACU as a day patient. When I left the little room I'd been in, I was told to wait in the middle of A&E main room until it was time for me to go - I estimate I was there around 30 mins. Both other patients sat with me and myself were quite distressed by having to sit in front and look at very poorly people and/or receiving their treatment. I also felt this was unfair those patients in beds who had people sat front of them. I feel that this needs addressing and a new waiting area should be found. Additionally, staff should ensure curtains are closed when people are being treated. Thank you
