Anything else?
As i submitted a review about 6 weeks ago about our treatment and concerns of our A&E experience which wasnt good i only think it is fair to comment on how good our visit to Colchester General was for my partners gallbladder surgery. We arrived at 7am and did not have to wait long to be shown to a side room, everybody we saw during this day visit could not have been any more caring or helpful, a big thanks goes to a staff member in admissions who went above her duty in the previous 2 to 3 months answering numerous phone calls and doing all she could to help, she even managed to make time to meet us so we could say thanks along with another staff member who although we only met her 3 times in a week was faultless and extremely reliable and caring at all times and kept to her promises of coming to see my partner on the ward before and after surgery , the nurses and staff on Mersea ward were also excellent and caring along with the surgeon who was excellent with explaining about the procedure. A big thanks goes to all involved in Mersea ward and the general surgey team for that faultless experience, shame the doctors and staff in A & E couldnt have made it as good the month before, i understand the pressures of A & E and them never quite knowing what is going to happen but it is no excuse for poor care.
