"Treatment at Rydon Ward."

About: Inpatient mental health care

(as a service user),

Some Senior staff members on Rydon 1: Need to be more understanding and compassionate before discharging patients who feel suicidal and unwell to go home.

This attitude in my opinion will lead to more people in this area to take their own lives and /or ruin somebody else's live through no fault of their own.

Please learn and listen to the patients view for once, before acting so callously. Perhaps some good could come from listening to people and how they feel.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on this website. I am sorry that you feel that staff on Rydon ward have not listened to a patient prior to discharge. I will share your comments with the ward manager, but as you will be aware, I am not able to offer further comment about your posting, on this website, due to its confidential nature, and I am not aware of which patient you are referring to. If you are referring to yourself, and would like to discuss your recent experience in more detail, please call the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, (PALS), on 01278 432022, when we will be happy to assist you.
