I was very worried as I have Crohn's Disease and was suffering from a lot of pain. It was New Year's Eve and the weather was awful. I phoned the 111 Service and the lady I spoke to was very kind, professional and Caring. She took all my details and said a Doctor would call me back. He did so very quickly and came out to see me a distance of about 21 miles. He was reassuring and gave me a pain killing injections as well as steroids and anti-sickness injection. He examined me and new about Crohn's Disease.
My mother passed away just after Christmas Day and she had a simular illness as me. Although it's a scary time for me I have to say the Service from the minute I picked up the phone was second to none and amazing. Big Thank you to all those involved.
"Out of hours visit from a Doctor on New Years Eve."
