My Dad, aged 87, was brought into the Cumberland Infirmary early on Christmas morning suffering a heart attack. He was swiftly taken to the Coronary Care Unit where he received the most wonderful care from all staff. He had stents fitted and stayed only 5 days but was genuinely impressed by the standards of care, cleanliness, food quality, respect and dedication shown by all staff. We were allowed to visit with my Mum when we could manage to bring her in to Carlisle, and staff explained clearly everything that had been done.
