I have been admitted to IRH on two separate occasions in the last 7 weeks, both of which resulted in my admission to ward H North. The care of the nursing staff at A&E and in the ward at H North has been absolutely outstanding. The nurses have been very caring and professional. The receiving surgical staff I. e. consultants and doctors were swift, competent and thorough in ensuring that the care I needed was administered promptly.
I am now awaiting a date for my operation (which I hope will be sooner rather than later) but feel more confident in preparing for this due to my experience of the care so far at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
The NHS has certainly improved in recent years and I feel that it is important that the staff on ground level are recognised for this.
