About: Royal Preston Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

Visited RPH on 18/8/08 and used toilet no 2 & found hot tapping broken and losing water at a rapid rate. Reported the matter to kitchen staff who maintained that it had been like that for 2/3 days and a good job they weren't on a water meter as no action had been taken. Reported the matter to staff on Ward 14 but on leaving the hospital 90 minutes later the matter had not been resolved. No senior management available but left matter in the hands of voluntary staff by the main door. Totally unacceptable such wanton wastage

A running tap in the toilets near the kitchens was reported and promptly dealt with. Thank you for bringing the matter to the attention of our staff.
