"Out of hours appointment doctor didn't turn up"

About: Tewkesbury Hospital

Anything else?

I have been in bed sick for a week, I made an appointment to see my GP but couldn't get an appmt until 3rd Jan. After 1 week I was feeling even worse and phoned 111. A Doctor called me back within an hour and made an appmt for me at Tewkesbury Hospital for a few hours later. I got out of bed, got dressed and drove to the hospital (I felt dreadful), only to find that there was not going to be a Doctor there that evening, so I drove all the way back home again. I was offered an appointment later in the evening at different hospitals but I was too sick to be driving around all over the place. So I might as well have stayed in bed rather than go out in the cold. To be clear, it wasn't Tewks Hosp's fault but to see a brand spanking new hospital with absolutely no one in there (pateints or Doctors) to help me is a complete joke! Remind me, why do I pay my taxes...
