Our young daughter had surgery on 27 December 2013 (2 days ago) to mend her perforated eardrum. Sadly we can't remember the names of all the medical and ancilliary staff we have come into contact with on our journey but they have all been, without exception professional, approachable, efficient, kind, very patient and never arrogant or condescending. We never complain about the waiting since we share the NHS with millions of other people and we have always understood the risks involved with any surgery or treatment. She was discharged after 9pm on the day of surgery and now she is at home we assume responsibility for her care, cleaniless /infection control. We managed her condition for 8 years, waited 5 months for surgery and now we wait and hope for the best that the operation will be successful - nothing is guaranteed! Judges comments . . . . Marks for technical ability and execution 10 (from Len) Marks for presentation and artistry 10 (from Darcy and Bruno) Final words (from Craig) - A-Ma-Zing & Fa-Bu-Lous Thank Goodness for the NHS!
