I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment I received at the QE recently. From being admitted to the Assessment Unit, admission to Surgery Centre, major sugery, High Dependency Unit and post op care back on Level 2 of the Surgery Centre, I was looked after with such skill, care and compassion. I was kept fully informed at all times and felt confident that I was receiving the best of care. Every member of staff was friendly, respectful and caring from the nurse who met as in the Assessment Unit, the Junior Doc and registrar , the brilliant nursing staff, assistants and trainees in the Surgery Centre, the fabulous anaesthetist and team just before surgery, the brilliant consultant and the exceptional care in the High Dependency Unit. It was a very difficult week for my family but it was made a lot easier thanks to the support of the QE team. I face an onward battle with chemo starting soon but I know that I have every confidence that I will be well looked after. I know that the NHS faces many challenges and there are areas for improvement locally and nationally but I cannot fault my experience. Thank you all.
