I had a knee replacement in November, All the nurses ,theatre staff and doctors made sure I knew exactly what was going on with reassurance all the time. The care I received on both ward d and ward 5 was outstanding. One nurse/sister was brilliant. I spent the first night on ward d and couldn't sleep and she made sure i was okay all night, The following night I was on ward 5 and the same nurse/sister was on and she went and found me a torch because she knew from the last night I liked reading and the light in my room wasn't working. I didn't ask her to she just did it, as if she hadn't enough to do. All the staff were kind, caring and considerate. I have been in Wrightington a couple of times before for operations and have always found the same standard of care. The cleaning staff are constantly cleaning and seem to take their responsibilities very seriously. whilst always having time for a chat and a bit of fun to help cheer patients up. As for the food, I couldn't find fault with everything served, it was all delicious. Well done Wrightington Hospital.
