Anything else?
An ambulance delivered my feisty 95 year old mother with a heart problem on 23 December. The ambulance staff were cheery, positive and excellent and this continued through A&E, then the MAU and finally Ward 12. The fact it was over Christmas did not deflect from the good attitude of all staff, even when under pressure. The standard of care, cleanliness and positivity is commendable. Please do keep it up. It was odd but rewarding to be asked to fill in a 'customer satisfaction' questionnaire as we left A&E but the nurse said that the management really did take the comments seriously. Well done - a beacon for the less good parts of the NHS. My only slight criticism is that it was sometimes difficult to find out what is happening next and there is probably Inevitably a bit of buck passing - maybe the plan to have a dedicated doctor and nurse as each patient's "champion" will help in future. Thanks Pembury.
