"Lovely staff on C31 and D47"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

For my first time in hospital I was petrified, the first few days I wasn't really aware of much happening.

The staff were lovely on all wards that I went to, they met my needs in every way possible and I really appreciate that. The health care assistants are lovely and they started general chats off which made staying there easier and also cheered me up when I was feeling a bit down, it's nice to go somewhere where they treat you with respect and are caring.

I spent most of my hospital stay on C31 and the Nurses were great and dealt with me and helped make me better, these are all lovely both night and day staff, words cant describe how much I appreciated their care.

All the Drs that have dealt with me made it much easier to understand what they were talking about, and whilst doing stuff explained what they were doing so I was aware of everything.

Now knowing I have got a few hospital appointment upcoming I am less nervous about going to see the Drs and I know that when going in for my operation I can trust the staff with my care and hopefully get put back on this ward as I know them.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. It was pleasing to read that despite being anxious about coming into hospital, your concerns were put to rest by the manner in which you were cared for by our staff who will be delighted to learn that their efforts have been appreciated. Thank you once again for your very kind words.
