"Wife with mastectomy and full node removal after..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

Burnley have been fantastic with my wife and cannot fault them at all. However yesterday my wife developed a swelling and we were advised to visit the urgent care unit at Royal Blackburn. We were there from 4.15pm until 7pm when we were finally sent to the surgical ward on B14. We arrived there at just after 7.30. We were then not seen until 8pm. A nurse came and asked my wife for her wheel chair and my wife refused as there were some just round the corner that were available. My wife has drains in and was only sent home the day before. The care was appalling at RBH. In UCU the Dr that came had been sat there eating chocolate and talking about holidays abroad for over one and half hrs. Lady on the desk who you check in with was useless and there was no priority given. My wife had a serious operation and was made to sit wit drunks, people being sick etc... No security on this dept. I would not take my dog here.
