What I liked
my mother was admitted to mri urgently from a clinic appointment, arriving on the ward approx 1pm. She was on regular pain relief medication, controlled Drugs, which was taken off her to be prescribed by the Doctor, although i appreiciate Staff are busy,My Mother was in agony when i arrived at 7PM. despite my brother asking nurses for someone to have a look at her leg,the answer was they were to busy.So mum had no pain relief untill i insisted to the Doctor that it was unacceptable to leave a person in pain for 8 HOURS! My daughter and myself stayed with my mum untill finally, the nurses put her on the bed and looked at the leg, then the nurse realised how much pain she was in and had to call the doctor back to prescribe more pain relief.
What could be improved
Staff need to investigate problem before brushing relatives off,
