My mom (Barbara Jackson) recently passed away - she had been on ward 5 for 11 weeks. Mom had Vascular Dementia and unfortunately this made her behaviour very challenging The staff on ward 5 are remarkable - so kind, caring and attentive at all times. I took so much comfort in knowing that my mom was so well looked after and loved by all the staff. All the staff were so attentive and made sure that my mom always retained her dignity which was exceptionally difficult for them at times. She always looked so lovely and pristine and so well cared for. They did everything in their power to make mom's time with them as comfortable as possible and also gave me tremendous support in my hours of need. I will never ever forget their kindness and am pleased that my mom ended her days in such a wonderful place with such kind considerate staff - I couldn't ask for more. I was going to list names, but I don't want to offend anybody by missing somebody off in my time of grief. I am sad I met all of you in the circumstances that we did - but I will be forever indebted to your kindness. Thank you so much. God bless you all. x
